Couch to 5K

Complete the form to register your interest to the Mayflower 400 Couch to 5K, run by Argyle Community Trust.

Anyone can run 5K if they work up to it slowly and sensibly. We'll be using a C25K plan based around 3 sessions a week for a 9 week period.

Day 1 will be led by an Argyle Community Trust staff member at Central Park and Day 2 & 3 will be an individually led session. At the end of the 9 week programme you will take part in a 5K run at Central Park in small groups and each be rewarded with a certificate on completion.

Running five kilometres without stopping is a great goal to have. It’s a target that only requires a pair of trainers, can be done anywhere and is something that almost anyone can achieve in a couple of months. Along the way you’ll recognise improvements to your fitness, as you'll find that you’re able to run further every week, as well as improvements to your health and wellbeing.

The plan we will be working from, builds up the amount of running you do very slowly so your body can get used to it gradually. It's a great was to start running, because you'll be doing it with a small group of like-minded beginners embarking on the same journey as you.

We look forward to working towards this goal with you, fill out the form below to register your interest.
